Todd Horton

Trumpet and Flugelhorn player Todd Horton was born and raised in Ithaca, NY. He studied Jazz performance at Berklee College of Music, Ithaca College of Music and The New School for Jazz Studies. He lived and worked in New York City from 1990-2003 as a freelance studio musician, touring artist, producer, composer and educator. He has performed with dozens of internationally known artists at festivals, theaters and concert halls around the United States and in Europe.
While currently living and working in Philadelphia, Horton still works in New York and tours abroad. Recent performance credits include touring with Camerounian star Richard Bona. Recent production credits include two full length albums for the Jazz fusion group Rented Mule. Recent composer credits include composing the original score for the award winning documentary film The Axe In The Attic, by Ed Pincus and Lucia Small, which premiered at the New York Film Festival. Horton also leads his own original band ROMP, a hard-edged Jazz fusion group, and can be seen and heard at various clubs in Philadelphia and New York.
